Honestly, I think that's more a branding thing than anything. The audience knows who Captain America is and what he's all about. You call somebody Captan Britain... or insert any nation and the audience can do the mental calculus to *know* what the character is. It's just an easy transition. Calling her Union Jack or Lionheart something else... Those are unfamiliar names/brands to the audience*.
* I acknowledge I'm being very American-centric here, but, well, that's who's making the content and trying to sell it.

But she really isn't anything like the comic version of Captain Britain, whose origins and powers are different. It's more accurate to say she's a female Captain America with the Union Jack on her costume instead of the Stars and Stripes. She really isn't inspired by the Captain Britain of the comics
Now, all that said, I am surprised they don't call her Captain Britain, since the average MCU fan has NO IDEA what Captain Britain's origin and powers are, assuming they even know Captain Britain exists (which they don't). And it wouldn't be Marvel Studios' first time changing a character or even mashing characteristics in order to better serve the narrative they're construction for the films and TV shows. And there's nothing wrong with that. So yeah, I'm a little shocked they don't call her Captain Britain, especially if Marvel isn't done with Hayley Atwell yet in the movies, according to some rumors I've heard.
Probably I should have mentioned that just the outfit is inspired by Captain Britain, with the union Jack and everything. And like you said I think that marvel could change a character again and turn her into a version of Cap Britain in the movies, so there's that. But you're right, other than that she's not like him, so she could pass as a female Captain America. She even has the Vibranium shield and stuff.

Because fiege wants to introduced captain Britain into the mcu proper.

Great looking figure and I think for the most part it's the only MCU super soldier (except maybe John Walker) figure that Hasbro did justice as far as the size is concerned.
Easily the must have from the wave for me.
She's gorgeous, but why is her name Captain Carter and not Captain Britain?
