Marvel Legends 20th Anniversary Wave Captain America Figure Revealed With Three More To Come

by Jay Cochran
October 4, 2021
Shown below via Unparalleled Universe is the Captain America figure which will be part of the Marvel Legends 20th Anniversary wave from Hasbro. This is a tribute wave to the original Toy Biz Marvel Legends wave. Other figures that should be in the wave will include Iron Man, Hulk an Toad though that has not yet been officially confirmed by Hasbro. Each figure comes with a diorama and comic. Like Captain America, Iron Man and Hulk will likely be re-issues with slight modification while Toad will be a new figure.

These figures will be released as fan-channel exclusives which means available at online etailers like our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.

The new headsculpt for Steve Rogers was sculpted by Paul Harding. This figure will retail for $31.99.

Aren't those gold boarders what they used on the Marvel Milestone books? I know I've seen them somewhere before.

They're from the Marvel Masterworks collections. I think the Milestones reprints just had solid grey borders.

Ok. Makes sense. Those gold borders with the different characters surrounding looks great in your pic. Are they a raised surface?

Mostly due to licencing. Hell when hasbro released Transformers (their own brand) here over here we couldn't get the comic they came with.

Thats odd. Seems like if you can use the license to put on the package, you should be able to include the comic.

Yeah, the first few waves anyway. I'm guessing it was due to the fact that comics weren't in multiple languages but I'm not sure.
