Yesterday
Disney dropped the first trailer for the upcoming
Disney+ She-Hulk series which of course has had Marvel fans talking ever sense.
Since we always like to bring things back to action figures here, we wanted to bring to your attention several Marvel Legends figures that you might want to keep an eye on after watching the trailer.
The first is the most recent comic based She-Hulk figure which has now been made available for pre-order again after previously selling out at our sponsor
Entertainment Earth.
For those hoping for a
Disney+ She-Hulk figure, I am sure that will come eventually from Hasbro though I am not expecting it to be revealed in the immediate future.
Another green figure you might want to keep tabs on is the
comic based Frog-Man. This one is in stock at our sponsor
Entertainment Earth and currently discounted for just $17.10. If you spend more than $39 and use the code
SPRINGFREE22 you get free shipping.
The reason why we suggest you keep tabs on
Frog-Man is because it appears he is showing up in the She-Hulk series. You can see a screen-capture from the trailer and granted he looks more like a wayward Power Ranger to me than
Frog-Man, but I do believe that is him.
Other green folks like
Hulk himself and
Abomination who will once again be played by
Tim Roth also appeared in the trailer, so it's safe to say there is a lot of green coming in the MCU's future.
Hasbro is holding an
Instragram live event later today starting at
2pm ET where we should be getting at least one new
Marvel Legends figure revealed. While I can't say for 100% sure, I don't think we will see any new Disney+ figures revealed during it. If you check out this
rumor report I did back January then I think you may find a hint of what we will see later today. Of course whatever is shown, we will be sure to have full coverage of it here when it happens.
The
Disney+ She-Hulk series will premier on the streaming service starting on
August 17.
Yup Frog-Man is about to skyrocket in price on the aftermarket, that's how it works right
I must say, after some early doubts, I think the trailer looks pretty good. Sure, as a lot of people have pointed out, the CGI looks a little bit wonky, but whaddayagonnado? Let's not pretend that the Professor Hulk (who apparently doesn't punch anything anymore) ever really looked all that convincing. Something about combining the CGI with true human facial emotion just doesn't come out right. As long as they're scowling, growling or screaming (while possibly punching some damn thing) it looks spot on, but Rufalo's head on the Hulk body always looked ridiculous. An actor like Mislany uses a lot of facial expression, so we can probably expect a few bad shots.
My only fear is they're gonna pull an old bait and switch, meaning they're gonna start the series with the fun, happy, friendly She-Hulk everyone loves and wanted to see and when they kill off Rufalo (good riddance) she'll be transformed into the (She) Hulk of more recent times that couldn't give away a comic book on free comic book day. Well at least she punches people. Gotta take the good with the bad, I guess. On the bright side, we've already seen more of the She-Hulk in the She-Hulk series through this trailer and the sneak peaks than we saw of Moon Knight throughout the entire Moon Knight series.
