Yeah felt that way as well, that head wasn't it for me, so I put the Love Triangle head on it, looks quite good, it does sit a bit higher but it's not a huge deal, but now this is my ideal cyclops.

When I first saw this announcement, I thought I was alone in thinking that the head looked off. Now that this figure is making its way into collector's hands, it sounds like this is the consensus among the community. While I do find this a strange choice, I appreciate that they were trying to give us something different than simply repainting the VHS head. I for one am grateful that it looks like we may be done with the cel-shading!

I think the head sculpts for most of the X-Men '97 figures are weak like that.

Love the blast effect...reminds me of the old ToyBiz figs, where a lot (most?) came with more accessories than I feel we see now.
