Was excited at first for the Wolverine to possibly build out the X-Men #1 cover but I think I'm going to pass.

I'm not terribly interested in these. I've made the mistake of buying things like this before from McFarlane. I've got a handful of the DC Multiverse posed figures/statues and I made the mistake of buying his Jumanji stuff when it was 90% off. Even at 90% off, it wasn't worth it. I figure that eventually and inevitably that he'll have to run a huge clearance sale on these too and maybe I'll bite then, but I certainly won't miss them if I don't.

I saw these at Target yesterday and honestly... they were even less impressive than I thought, and I already wasn't terribly interested to begin with. The only one that was even remotely good looking was Spider-Man, and he looked tiny. I just couldn't do it.

Wolverine, Deadpool and Magneto for me!

MeGrimlock78 - 2024-07-09 @ 3:01 pm

I would be all in if they did all four X-Men #1 covers. That would look sweet. Maybe in the meantime I'll just recreate the covers with my figures, like that SDCC poster.

Also, I'm curious if the Wolverine one qill be full body, or just like a bust...

I'll probably only have any interest in these if and when they hit the inevitable 75% sales that all of his posed statues/figures seem to get to. Also, I thought that these were just going to be based upon his art? I ask because I'm pretty sure that he's never drawn Miles Morales for Marvel....

I think the confusion came from the fact the called them posed figures instead of just statues

Yeah, Mcfarlane has this weird idea that if it's made of plastic he calls it a posed figure. And if it's made from resin he calls it a statue.
