jscott thanks for these headswaps, I was wondering myself what some of these would look like.

Still this figure isn't doing it for me because of price, It's waaaay too expensive in Canada, it's 80 bucks, with tax and so forth about just close to 90, and I don't give a hoot about a stand so its a non starter for me, I do want this figure but I'm not gonna pay that price the newer Black Widow head looks great on this fig, but also I don't have that Black Widow because it was super hard to get in Canada (TRU Exclusives stink)

I Hope that because this figure is overpriced here in Canada nobody buys it and it goes on sale, until then I'm fine with my Phoenix with a Stepford Cuckoo head on it.

As promised, Jean with MJ head, BW 2023 Head, and MJ/BW head.

The hair color is best on the MJ head, but the freckles are distracting. It's possible the 2023 BW is better after all.

Can't seem to find it. It's somewhere just not in the obvious ML locations

I have that head. I will post pictures of Jean with the MJ Black Widow head, the straight MJ head, the 2023 Black Widow head, and any other redheads I find this evening or tomorrow.

If you do I'd like to know how it turns out if you don't mind. I know I have that figure but its bagged and stored away ever since they did the Ultra Articulated Widow. I packed them away so fast during the move I wouldn't even begin to know what bin it's in. I guess that's something I should dive into one day. I didn't buy the super poseable Jean because of the price and the fact that that body is way too small IMO. But I figure if the head is too big on this figure it might actually fit well on the Retro Card version and it might be worth digging to find it.

Might have to locate my MJ cosplaying as Black Widow figure and try that out

While I don't think the Phoenix face here is unattractive, I wouldn't say that; in fact I think its very attractive. I just don't think it fits Jean. Maybe Shiklah or Hela; with the proper hair sweep, a Madame Hydra (since the last one was such an abomination). I could even see it for Elsa Bloodstone. But you're right, they've done a lot of really nice faces for females- White Elektra, Clea, the last Ms. Marvel (Warbird), Jubilee, the Black Widow, I could go on. I just wish the bodies were as well executed as the faces for the line.

Jean is an example of the reverse - amazing body and a big miss on the head. Although I wish Jean had Warbird's legs (why couldn't they mold Jean's boots?).

Given what they have done with other women, why is Jean so hard to get right. It can't be that hard to do an attractive Redhead.

Actually that is one of the best head sculpts done for that time. And it was gorgeous. Unfortunately it was a little large for the MJ body they were using which I think was the same one used for the Netflix Jessica Jones. If you're looking for a freckless version of it though and don't want to have to paint them off I'm pretty sure there was one included in of of the Black Widow figures. I don't know which one right off hand but I bet either @tarotor could tell you pretty quickly.

Update: Just checked it out. That would be the Retro Card Black Widow. No freckles but the face is quite shiny. So there's that.

The main downside of it is that it is probably a touch big on this body. But I think it looks better than the 2023 Target Black Widow.

The 2023 Black Widow head fits better, but I just don't like it as well.

Almost any head is an improvement, but this old MJ TRU two pack head looks decent. There are versions of this head without the freckles so I might track one of those down.

The Dark Phoenix Jean head is the best, but prices aren't great.
