X-Men '97 Magneto 1/10 Statue From Iron Studios

X-Men '97 Magneto 1/10 Statue From Iron Studios

Jay Cochran - December 07, 2024
Metallic particles deform and fluidly mold under his power, forming the base at his feet. Rising to levitate, propelled by electromagnetic energy, one of the most powerful mutants on Earth stands ready. Often alternating between being one of the X-Men's greatest enemies and one of their most valuable allies depending on the circumstances, he appears in his iconic crimson and purple attire, channeling his unique powers with his mind and directing them with gestures of his right hand. Highly anticipated by fans and collectors, Iron Studios proudly presents the "Magneto - X-Men '97 - Art Scale 1/10" statue, inspired by the hit animated series streaming on Disney+, on a stylized base adorned with the X-Men logo on the front and bringing two interchangeable head options—one with Magneto’s signature helmet and another with his long flowing hair, as depicted in the animation.

Magneto Erik Magnus Lehnsherr, a mutant with the ability to control and manipulate magnetic fields and all forms of metal. Born to a Jewish family, he endured persecution and imprisonment in Auschwitz during World War II. After escaping in 1944, he began anew in Russia under the name Magnus, marrying Magda and fathering a daughter, Anya. However, a confrontation with a blackmailer led to his house being set ablaze, resulting in Anya’s death. This tragedy marked the first time Magneto publicly used his powers, as he killed everyone present. Later, he met and befriended Professor Charles Xavier, but their differing ideologies placed them on opposing sides. Magneto sees mutants as the next evolutionary step and therefore superior to humans. Acting as a terrorist in favor of mutants against humankind, Magneto formed the Brotherhood of Mutants to implement his supremacy, becoming a prominent adversary of the X-Men, Xavier's students fighting for peaceful coexistence between mutant and humans.

Debuting in March 2024, X-Men '97 is a sequel to the 1992 animated series “X-Men: The Animated Series”, picking up where the original storyline left off. Produced by Marvel Studios Animation for Disney+, the series updates the classic animation using modern technology, featuring refined and modernized designs. This is Marvel Studios' first X-Men project since reclaiming the cinematic and television rights to the characters. Now available for Pre-order and first revealed at Iron Studios’ booth at CCXP 24, this Magneto statue is part of an exciting lineup of releases. Other statues in the Iron Studios’ X-Men '97 collection includes the previously revealed Cyclops, Gambit, Rogue, Storm, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Beast, Jubilee, and a Deluxe Gambit & Wolverine.
