Hasbro revealed the first figure in their new
Marvel Legends Maximum Series which is Spider-Man. This figure was said to be an all-new sculpt and the most articulated Spider-Man figure has done to date along with it being packed with a bunch of accessories. See the official description and images from Hasbro below.
While the figure is slated to go up for pre-order next month on February 13, they have not yet revealed what the price will be for this new figure. So taking what we think would be the highest MSRP price Hasbro would charge for this one which is $49.99, we have launched a
new POLL on our forums below asking a simple yes or no answer. Will you pay that much for it?
Keep in mind no matter how you answer, the price for this figure has already been set, so it's not going to change even if you say no. This is just an informal poll to gauge our own readers on how much interest there is for a figure like this if it costs $49.99.

Nah, not going to disappointed. I feel like it should be around that price point. I definitely expect it to be higher though unfortunately.

Im passing regardless of the price. I quit comic figures a few years ago. Came back to Angel which is an amazing fig and its stored because it doesnt fit my collection anymore. I was planning on getting Phoenix but have decided to wait, its not a must have for me anymore. Spidey? Nah, as cool as this is, and as amazing as all the accessories are its not for me.
Im on the same boat as a few of you, there was a time when this wouldve been close to the standard. If we buy in on this at 50, thats the new standard and soon well be paying 50 just for the figure without accessories because thats the standard.
No. The figure looks amazing but they've already released 3-4 other Peter Parker Spider-Men I'm fine having on my shelf as the "definitive" versions.
All the people saying "no" are the same people that will buy 3 to flip.
Only reason I'm okay with the high price is the factor of availability, with current reduced production runs it will sell out right away whether it's 35 or 50, how high or how low is the price only determines number of hours (or even minutes) it will be sold out in, so higher price means more chance for people to actually get the figure. It's would be great if figure costs only 30 bucks but what difference low price makes if it sells out in 30 second and is only available on ebay for 80-100 bucks?
Ideally, Hasbro should and could increase production run and keep price in 30s because it's Spider-Man, the most commercial character in the world, but we don't know all the factors and realities of production.
I was just thinking, why didn't they tell us the price up front? Then I was thinking how often do they do that with a figure? Not telling us the price up front that is. Only for the larger ones and it seems like they look at forums like this and wait to see what the community thinks before making a decision...who am I kidding they just wanna see us sweat.
While I wouldn't want to pay $49.99, in all honesty, I'd probably end up picking it up anyway. I'm hoping we land somewhere around the $39.999 mark. It does look like a phenomenal figure, and I'd be lying if I said the 90-esque/McFarlane-esque aesthetic wasn't doing it for me.
