Does anyone know if the Husk yelling head is fully sculpted or just painted on the face? Part of me hopes Hasbro put in the effort and sculpted the separation between the flesh tone and the silver part. The other part of me is hoping they cheaped out and just painted it. That way I kind just remove the paint, swap out the hair, and then use it for my Siryn figure.
QuoteI used to buy everything from BBTS. I had a Retro carded Beast (with the lab coat), on pre-order. Waited, waited, wrote customer service, they informed me they were still "getting them in" and not to worry.Another month goes by - get my cancellation e-mail. I'm pissed I waited so long, having seen other opportunities to pick it up for a decent amount of money, but certainly not what the figure has risen to on secondary markets.I happen to be at a toy show, got talking to a guy who has 3 of them. He told me he had 4. Asked him where he got them, BBTS. He wanted his full order of 6, but settled for 4. Of course he wanted $100 for each of them. I contacted BBTS after the chance encounter. I don't think expected anything like what happened to me, happen. A chance meeting, knowing they value bulk customers instead of the guy just buying one or two of the figure. They gave me the run around. I don't know why companies always think it's better to lie and give the run around, then simply state that yeah they messed up.I spent THOUSANDS with them every year. I'm a big statue and high end figure buyer. I'll never spend another dime with them. If they had just been honest I would have continued my business with them. A simple apology would have also done it. Instead I know conduct business at Entertainmentearth.
The More I see that Spider-Child I dig it, Not remotely familiar with what's going on in the comics with them, but The more I see the figure I dig it's colors and look, I really like that weird monsterish face, someone wanna tell me what's up with that? it's very cool.

Unlike other sites like Amazon and BBTS I've never had an order canceled or put on infinite back order. So, I'll preface this by saying that I generally use Pulse for any Hasbro order that isn't an exclusive, and I buy A LOT of Hasbro stuff. Generally speaking, I like them, but I have had my issues. On at least three occasions they've cancelled items on me during their big sales, even though I'd gotten my orders in pretty much the hour the sale kicked off, and then after several days they'd say "oops, we're out of stock". I mean yeah, you didn't fulfill it when I bought it, apparently allowed for more orders than you had items, and then cancelled it even though my order was in for days before the site flipped over to "out of stock." So I have a hard time trusting them on that score. That said, they've never argued with me about replacing something and when a sold-out Pulsecon exclusive vanished in the delivery process (GB Tully with Terror Dog) they replaced it without incident. Still wonder where that wound up going. I have full confidence in any pre-order I get from Pulse. Amazon, yeah I can't trust them for any pre-order that isn't an exclusive that I HAVE to trust them on, too many random cancellations there- while Big Bad has only cancelled items on me that involved unavoidable issues with the manufacturer, like when a company folds or, for example, when that "totally not Pitt you guys" Pitt figure got slapped with an injunction from the guy who owns Pitt. Also a random Lizard-Wave Spider-Man Noir, which sat on pre-order for like 2 years before one of us cancelled it. No other issues with Big Bad for me. My issue with Pulse though, is that if an item is set to go up at a certain time, that time will always transform (and roll out!) into anything from 2 minutes after the hour to 20 minutes to 40 minutes to who knows what after the hour (and in this case, days apparently). It's just a roll of the dice when they'll manage to get it up on their site, whereas BB and EE have it up the second that clock rolls over. And you'd think that a billion-dollar company like Hasbro would be able to match something like "when the clock rolls over, this order page/update goes live," instead of giving the impression that the interns are running the website. A website which has been "updated" into an objective mess, I'm going to add. So anyway, I put in an order of the Can't Miss/Likely to Sell Out ones with Big Bad (for now) and whenever Hasbro manages to put these up on their site, I'll order the rest. I'm excited for everyone in the wave here. Even the half-assed AoA Gambit. I hope they continue to trickle out the occasional AoA character (Bishop and Havok next? Wouldn't mind a Banshee, for that matter). AndyL - 2025-01-10 @ 2:21 pm

And they can be quite slow, particularly on GI Joe stuff. Their new site is also really, really bad. You're right. I should have included the caveat that I'VE personally never had a problem with them getting my order right. I have heard some horror stories and personally I have a problem with their shipping policy and the price of the Plus membership so I do order from those OTHER vendors whenever possible. I'm hesitant to say anything else bad about them because some people have made it their sworn duty to hunt down and destroy anyone and their family who has the audacity to utter a bad word about Hasbro or Pulse. LOL. I'll leave it at that.

They're almost always the last ones to put something up, whereas everyone else is ready to go the moment the clock strikes. I've never understood why they don't put the resources in to their direct portal for sales to the masses when they're the largest figure distributor not named Amazon. There is a backend problem with the site. AndyL - 2025-01-10 @ 5:56 am
