Not the chronic, continuous cheapening shell-game that Hasbro loves to play. This is all pretty much more " Malibu Stacy WITH HAT" because there's NOTHING we've seen here that's not been seen with other product.Marvel Legends used to come with a full comic book, and a diorama base. What replaced those things has never been of comparable value.
Excellent. Not to mention, it's gonna be their new price point every time they lob the title "Maximum" or what have you. Greed on one hand ....iffy spending thoughts on the other. Pass on both.
This is the definitive Legends Spider-Man. It's also imo comparable to the 185 Mafex, which retailed for $95. I'm cool with $50 for this dude.

Man, I can eat a 65ish price tag for what should be the best 1/12 Hulk to ever be produced. But more than that just would suck. And to me personally no Hulk figure on the market has scratched the Hulk itch for me, diamond looks great but is damn near a statue and ML are just ok same with imports. I genuinely believe the Hasbro ML team will kill this new hulk but that price might be scary especially hearing that he comes with a thunderclap effect!?!? Excited but trying to reserve myself.
Easy buy for me, this will end up being a rare figure down the line. I just support this line no matter what now. I know people feel otherwise, but this is my favorite line I collect. We all know some people will pay double on the after market for him, some of the same people saying they won't get it now.
I do like the web shooter hands and spidey sense but not at that price
Big ol pass here. The fact I dont personally think it looks particularly good helps on top of the crap price
Will be 77 CDN at Gamestop, probably more elsewhere.
Even with likely appreciation I have no interest in supporting this line at that price.
Hopefully it bombs at initial offering (unlikely) and they drop to 40, which still isnt great but certainly more appealing.
It's an easy preorder at noon tomorrow. Got an alarm set.
I am not going to pay $49.99 for this figure.
For $59.99 we got the Hulkbuster Ironman. I felt that figure was overpriced, but it seems like a better value than this figure.
Lets compare this Spider-Man to something else of the same price that became available this week:Transformers Toys Generations War for Cybertron Deluxe WFC-S26 Autobot Alphastrike Counterforce 3-Pack - Final Strike Figure Series: Part 1. That set costs $49.99 which I believe was the same price when it was originally offered. That set includes two deluxe Autobots. One concerts into a car and one splits into a tank and a plane. Also includes is a gun with a blast effect that turns into a robot.
So for the same price of Spider-Man and his amazing webs and heads, you could get three robots that turn into three vehicles and a gun. I know which one feels like a better valueand its not Spider-Man.
This is going to be a tough decision. I suspect this will figure will rapidly appreciate so there's no real risk in losing money. But I do I really want it at any price? RYV seems better for my tastes (I don't like articulated toes).
Yeah, for 50 I really want more fx. A web "bag" and a light post to hang them from perhaps. Just not sure where the 25 comes from. I see more value that a regular figure, but not double. I think they are just counting on a Spidey selling at any price. We let them do this when a 27 dollar reg figure, 1st app, sold out and a 29.99 superior Spidey sold out too. Problem is,even if all of us on this site agree not to buy, this is gonna go fast. It's Spidey. Not sure what I'm gonna do tomorrow.
I worked some EE magic to get Phoenix at a price I felt ok about, and have to say, I love that figure and stand. But don't think the stand constituted 25 bucks. But still haven't seen her any lower than 47 bucks. So overall glad I have her, annoyed at the price still.
So Hulk, with waaay more plastic for each effect and the TB 20th figure was 50 or 60, is gonna be what? 80- 100? I'm scared, cause I can pass up a Spidey, but not a Hulk.
