Re: Maximum Spider-Man

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like there's some shenanigans going on here. It went back up on Amazon for a bit. I ordered it just to see if I could and it went through. Most likely I'll cancel but I just wanted to see if the order sticks. No cancelation email yet. I don't know maybe it's organic but I kind of feel like they're creating a false scarcity right now. I'll bet anything they go back up for sale in a few days.

I was guessing a comic Aunt May.

If Hasbro is really pivoting toward risk-averse offerings, I'd be pretty shocked to see another Aunt May.

ALL things considered people in the US shouldn't complain that much since in countries like mine it will cost $100.

OUCH! Well, by that token we should want it to be lower here, that should make it lower there.

I will say the Ultimate Iron Man does seem to fill up the blister more as compared to Adam Warlock. Of course they could have just strategically placed him higher on the tray to give him the perception of more height. I'm sure one of the reviewers will get it in hand before they ship out in mass and get us some good comparison to other IM figures. Hopefully with plenty of time to cancel if necessary.

I hope that is not the case, would be some absolute bs I was hoping he is on the larger side as he should be. I do not have time for that bait-and-switch bs that companies do.

Ah, that would make even more sense, especially since they've got a body mold they can use and it's not been done like that. I might even be tempted to fall for that one too, lol.

Maybe this is another example of Hasbro packing an accessory with one figure that is meant to elevate a prior release. First example that comes to mind is the Shadow King head that was included with Professor X (not 100% sure about that); that head fits on Kingpin. There was an Apocalypse "claw" that came with another figure.

While I wish they would, they haven't done this in a few years now (discounting re-releases) so I doubt they'll do it again. It'd be nice, though. The claw came with Archangel, btw (and confused the hell out of me, initially).

So....if/ when they put this Max Spidey sculpt in a two pack with "place characters name that I must have here" in less than one full year, we are gonna riot right?

Yes, but ONLY because they're going to use the Sunfire body for the long-awaited-must-have figure in question.

I'm all for a riot! I'm making an early prediction that we'll see such a set with some version of MJ or re-release of the original Gwen.

Is the Maximum Spider-man an entirely new sculpt? I'm getting the feeling there's some renew-your-vows parts going on, obviously with new heads and hands.
