We told you last week how the next
Walmart Collector-Con event would take place next Thursday on March 13, but now we know that Walmart will start to preview the products they will be selling during the event tomorrow (3/6) at 10am ET.
For Marvel Legends we expect the
Marvel Legends Walmart exclusives (77' TV Series Spider-Man and
Gamerverse Spider-man 2 Spirit Spider) figures to go up for pre-order next week. Below is the image from the Walmart website which showed a blacked out Spider-Man figure. We replaced the blacked out image with the one Hasbro showed for the 77' Spider-Man several months ago which you can see is an exact match.
For Star Wars we know their will be 4 figures. Hasbro officially announced three of those as the Black Series Revenge Of The Sith Cardback Count Dooku, Kit Fisto and R2-D2. The blacked out teaser image shown below seems to tease a Clone Trooper which we assume will be the fourth figure offered during the event.
From Hasbro we should also be seeing Transformers and perhaps for G.I. Joe Classified a Night Force Beach Head and Quick Kick 2-pack which was shown during Toy Fair.
Other companies we know who should have a presence at Collector Con is McFarlane Toys, though we don't have any specifics on what products they might be offering during the event.
Just love that I ordered this in less than a minute after it was made available, and I was charged yesterday, and my account says I'll get it By August. Not "preparing" or "on the way" on the delivery timeline either, just "placed". Guess I should count myself lucky it wasn't canceled like some others out there.

Yeah, my order was cancelled. Im tired of these games so I'll just wait it out until its actually in stock and available.
Thanks for the heads up! My order was canceled this morning and I was just able to reorder it. Smh Walmart doing Walmarts things. So dumb.

LOL, I was one of those who had my order cancelled for both Spider-Man'77 and Spirit Spider. So when I saw this, I immediately went to re-purchase again and have it in my cart, but the site now won't let me view my cart to try to check out. Such a cluster f***! All I can do is laugh at the ridiculousness.
Update: I was able to complete the checkout on the mobile app, which I never use because I hate doing any business on my phone. Happy to have it ordered again but of course no free shipping this time like when it was combined with Spirit Spider, which is not available now.
Whew, I think I'm in the clear. I saw reports of people having their orders canceled a day after they were emailed saying to verify address or update payment method.
I got that email to update my credit card so I started to wonder. People were saying the option to update cards wasn't there, they updated but still got canceled.... just the usual Wally World BS..
Im half tempted to pre-order again in case they DO cancel my order and Im too late for this 2nd chance lol
But I had no trouble updating my info, thye haven't charged me yet but I have a suspicion they stopped charging once they realized they were having technical issues.
Fingers crossed both 77 Spidey and Ghost Spidey arrive as planned
EDIT: now I'm a bit worried.. I got another email asking me tp update my payment. So I did for a 2nd time... this probably doesn't bode well
The 1977 SPIDER-MAN MOVIE INSPIRED Collectible figure is inspired by Spider-Man's appearance in the 1977 Spider-Man movie. Makes a great addition to any collection of Marvel Legends action figures. This figure is now available again with a later release date for pre-order on the Walmart website. If yours was recently cancelled, now may be a good time to try again!

I guess I'll just never understand the ML development crew's thought process. So they use basically the same old Sunfire model but retooled to eliminate the butterfly joints which they often use for the justification for using the model so often. Especially for the more athletic figures. Yet they leave everything else that makes the model look so strange like the tiny shoulders and extremely long neck. They removed articulation yet made no improvement to aesthetics. What was the point? To make room for the chest logo? I honestly think it could have easily fit on the original version of the model. Plus Hasbro's never had a problem making adjustments to details to accommodate sculpt limitations. They are just all over the place lately.
Agree 1000%

I can just grab some basic household needs for free shipping instead of getting a figure I was on the fence about, or trying to guage if something I want will sell out before another item goes live.
Ha, so I tried to do that recently with Target and the Super7 Thundercats Tigra figure, combining it with a 50 cent bowl because Tigra was only one cent shy of free shipping, and it refused to let me check out. After two days of trying to combine it with various items of escalating value, wound up just having to eat the shipping.
