I had the same thought, and initially passed on this as overpriced when it was pegwarming forever at my local Target. Then at some point Amazon was pretty much trying to fire sale it every few weeks at $25 or so. Then of course it shot up ridiculously which I always found so odd. The most impressive thing about it to me was the Shadow King head they packed in with it.
I started collecting Marvel Legends about a year after Professor X with Hover Chair was released..& for the next few years it was always $100/$120 on the aftermarket...I almost picked it up for about $80 a couple times because it seemed like a great deal at the time.. but when leaks about Savage Land Professor X first started.. they said he would come with Hover Chair....then January 2024 BBTS had OG Professor X with Hover Chair up for preorder.. but release date was July 2025..a year & half later...I did get my preorder in.. but I also knew by then that between Savage Land Professor X with Hover Chair being on leaks lists ..& the OG version available for preorder at all fan channels.. the aftermarket prices were gonna drop from the usual $80/$120..I picked one up for $40 still in box..so now I wouldn't have to wait a year & half & for even less $$$.... same situation happened with Retro Kingpin
Sadly.. because Canada taxes thecommercial businesses half to death..they are forced to pass it on customers.. I've always felt bad for Canadian Marvel Legends collectors having to pay such high prices as well as taxes...hang in there my friend

Professor X, was like 60 bucks when he first came out here in Canada, when I bought the re-release it was 80+ so that's like quite the up-tick in price, anyways, it certainly beat me paying the asking prices for it on the aftermarket, which was like 100+ , and I needed this Xavier it was highly necessary, How in the name of being a collector can someone not have a Professor X!
no fun US collectors get all of the discounts, while we here in Canada get like 2 bucks off something and we act like we won something.

Agree 100% picking this up to be a body for Gyrich for sure!

Whoa, really? I remember hunting this figure down when it first came out years ago.
I know this retro Green Goblin figure wasn't everyone's favorite when it first came out, but I've really grown to love this figure. The way the colors pop just screams comic-goodness to me. Grateful I picked this one up!
