I think the design they showed for the EoV was probably about as risqu as they are willing to get with it. And whether it was meant to be put as a tier in that Haslab or not a $350 exclusive through Pulse was probably the most secure way that it ended up in as few young hands as possible. Not saying it was a perfect arrangement and certainly not saying it made sense and I still believe it was a last ditch effort to drum up sales but it was to this point our best chance to get a somewhat accurate Goblin Queen so far. Honestly at this point I think the only other way to do it is through an online exclusive. Maybe with an Inferno set with Scott and Alex. Not that I'd be all that excited to have to buy another one of either of those characters but options are really limited here. Of course I've always been of the opinion that an online only adult collector subline or maybe even the occasional wave has always been a good idea. I mean the majority of collectors are adults anyways and MCU figures will always find presence on store shelves. And really didn't the Blackheart wave essentially use that adult collector footprint? The whole mystical/occult theme was just a little too iffy for Hasbro to get them put it on big box store shelves so they did it online only. Take that same concept and use it to get some of those characters who've been deemed too controversial for general consumption. There a quite a few much wanted characters that could make it into this. Characters like Goblin Queen, Mephisto, Outback Rogue, Inferno Storm, Scalphunter, Big Bertha, Classic Gamora, Classic Typhoid Mary, Man-Ape, Original Emma Frost, Satana. And on and on.
I think eventually we'll get to see a Mephisto. There is a rumor on him. I hope we get to see more mystical characters like more in the Gods category, like Zeus, Chthon, Eternity, Infinity, Celestials, Living Tribunal, Cul Borson, Perrikus etc.

my guess is 65-70.

You're referring to the comic art shown on the box? I think it shows 6, but some arms are folded over and back, making it appear as if there are 7 or 8 arms.
I watched the review this morning. I was shocked to see that the figure is already available in Australia.

Thankfully I was able to get my pre-orders in for both Gamerverse Psylocke Thanos 2 Pack & Captain America Venom 2 Packs it's too bad that Psylocke Thanos 2 Pack had to be a Target Exclusive...imo both should have been available on Amazon
I'm all in on these MvC figures so far. Was sure to Pre-Order the Cap/Venom 2-pack.. Interesting that it didn't sell out like the Wolverine 2-pack did. I guess this is a testament to each character's popularity?

I'm still fascinated by the bizarre fact that you could buy a character with a pentagram on his chest at Walmart and am shocked that there wasn't any notable pushback. You might be thinking of the Void or Mindless Ones waves which were fan-channel only.
Wow who knew? I never saw it personally and I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be a Fan Channel exclusive. Looking it up AI says it was indeed intended to be Fan Channel only but in some areas some figures did make it to mass retail. It also sited that other figures that were supposed to be Fan Channel also made it to Walmart such as Outback Rogue and figures from the Zabu wave. Primarily this was reported mostly in Canada. Now all this comes from AI and I don't want to go back down that rabbit hole what I think about AI and it's flaws. Either way. All that to say I think overall it was meant to be Fan Channel only but I guess some snuck their way into mass retail. No matter. By your comments I understand that you understand what I was getting at. Put a little more control and a little more limited distribution and there really shouldn't be much they couldn't release if they really wanted to. Honestly even if they just gave the impression they are trying to limit the amount of exposure of certain figures to the general public they would get some kind of credit. Specifically an online only situation would require a credit card which most young people don't have would be my suggested way to go. Of course with sites like Amazon and others that store your card information it wouldn't be that hard for kids to get ahold of their parent's account if they really wanted to but the intention to make it a little harder is there. Like I said impressions and intentions go a long way.
