June has been a month long of
Hasbro Marvel Legends Gamerverse Marvel Vs. Capcom inspired figure pre-orders, and next week will see the final 2 sets in the series go up for pre-order.
On
Thursday, June 26 at 1pm EDT we will see the newly tooled and larger
Marvel Legends Series Gamerverse Marvel's Juggernaut go up for pre-order. This figure from what I have seen should have a
MSRP of $64.99 and be offered at
Fan-Channel retailers like our sponsors
BigBadToyStore.com and
Entertainment Earth. It should also be available on
Amazon.
Then following the next day on
Friday, June 27 at 10am EDT we will see the
Marvel Legends Series Gamerverse War Machine vs Omega Red 2-Pack go up for pre-order. This is being sold as a
Walmart exclusive and should have a
MSRP of $59.99.
Also on a side note, I received an email from Target this morning saying the
Marvel Legends Series Gamerverse Psylocke vs. Thanos would now be shipping on
July 20th. It's possible that set will start hitting phycial stores around that time as well.
Got the same email from Target as well regarding the Psylocke two pack. Ready to have it ship before Target cancels it like they always do,lol. I love that juggernaut, but man for me this has been one of the worst years collecting ML. Too many repeat characters I'm just upgrading and no one new that I'm excited about. I hope it gets better but every time I see a new leak list I get super disappointed, to the point of this must be fake cause why would they do "this" character or make "this" figure. Do they even read this board? We have been asking for certain figures for years, I mean everyone on here has named hundreds of characters yet to be made and we never see one of them. Very disheartening as a long time collector for real.
While this is an awesome looking Juggernaut, I think this may be where my preordering streak comes to an end. The more I look at him, the more I think I'll be okay sticking to my 2-pack Juggernaut. Also, with SDCC coming up, I'm sure we'll get some new reveals that my wallet may need to brace for. The War Machine/Omega Red was an easy pass from the gate.

But I think it's their investors, they want more money and they will raise product prices to give it to them, they won't say no or otherwise risk losing them. 34 used to be like a deluxe figure mostly big ones. Now they're like 60!
True but also.....the collectors need to take some blame too. 'Cause they're the ones buying these things, KNOWING that they're overpriced, knowing they they're prone to sloppy work. I mean look at this X-Factor Marvel Girl with no boots. That ridiculous thing they try to pass off as the Hulk, and don't get me started on $50.00 Spider-Man. WHAT!! But if they see what PT Barnum saw, they'll just act accordingly.
Hopefully though you will get Mephisty and he won't be gouged. Hopefully that gorgeous hand behind Rom and Spiral will intervene again...

Frankly I don't see that any of these figures are worth being priced over $24.00 (maybe Hulk-Hulkbuster size come in around $34.00 or so), but hasblut wouldn't want to admit that, so they'd come up with some deception to justify why they couldn't just put Mephisto out as the basic figure he is. Its a red guy, in a plain tattered outfit, with Phyllis Diller hair.

Hopefully it does not run that much- if it's anything like the 7 inch one we saw from the engine of vengeance I can't see how it would be 80 or more but I hear what you're saying. Mephisto has been a rumor indeed yes, if I had to place money on it I think it would be made. I just wish we got more characters in other categories rather than the same Ironman Avengers, Wolverine, X-Men, Hulk etc. Not that I'm against that, but that's all we get- various versions suits designs universes in varying categories like MCU, shows, animated, cartoon, gamerverse LOL.

I think because of this figure's unique aesthetic and features, it's gonna be one to have. The bendy-wire tentacles and articulated eye are cool features, and I think enough people know him to want to have him. Time will tell!
Older-school and obscure Marvel seem to be harder sellers in action figure form......but for me, those are the characters I gravitate to. For every Wolverine, Spider-Man ( and now Captain America and Iron Man) I seem to jones for a Man-Wolf, Xemnu, or Razorback. Characters like Misty Knight or Machine-Man peg-warmed really bad around here, which is a shame because I consider them to be essential secondaries and B-listers.

(And he still might) But I went on Amazon and he's unavailable! I know that doesn't mean you'll never see him again, or he's permanently sold out, but it means the first round sold out, and he's in high demand. So, that's cool!

And its probably not even gonna be all that great as a figure....but they KNOW there are plenty out here that will buy it, regardless.
