This one has been a
RUMOR long-time coming, but I do believe this weekend during SDCC will be when we see Hasbro officially reveal their next wave of
Marvel Legends X-Men 97 figures. Hasbro's
Marvel Legends panel is this coming
Friday (7/25) at 11:30am PT. Check back to MarvelousNews for complete coverage of that. We also have new
Marvel Legends pre-orders slated to go live on
Saturday (7/26) at 2pm PT at places like our sponsors
BigBadToyStore.com and
Entertainment Earth. And yes I do believe this wave is what will be going up.
This wave was originally slated to go up for pre-order at the beginning of the year but then got delayed. Here is a breakdown of the figures I believe we will see in this wave:
- Morph
- Jubilee
- Emma Frost
- Cable
- Roberto da Costa
- Logan (Casual)
This is based on info I saw earlier this year and so I am going to assume nothing has changed since then, but I think we will know for sure come this weekend, so stay-tuned.

Hey at least this has more articulation then the average Titan Hero figure, those are usually like what 4 POA, this has elbow and knee joints.
Honestly this Galactus kinda ain't so bad as a cheap stand in for the movie figure, or even if you are looking for a smaller sized comic stand in.

only thing missing are regular versions (powered down) of Invisible Woman & Human Torch
I'd be down for a deluxe ML sweater Thing with Herbie and Franklin. Would be an easy way to tie up the F4 display nice and tidy.

I finally saw the movie yesterday and I'm very pleased with it. Not a masterpiece, but definitely a well made movie that did the characters justice. I enjoyed all the references to classic F4 enemies in that montage, too.
Oh fun, I had thought the Epic Heroes line was sort of in major decline, I barely see any new releases, and the past figures all got clearanced, but it's nice to see they are still going because they are not bad for the value, these actually look fairly well sculpted for the size, pretty neat to see Herbie and Franklin got a figure, and I love to see things like the Fantasticar! they really could just scale that up for Legends and I;m sure it would be a big hit.
Shown below are official images for Hasbro's upcoming Epic Heroes Fantastic Four: First Steps Family Box Set. Included are Thing with shirt, Flame On Human Torch, Reed Richards, Herbie and Translucent Invisible Woman with Baby Franklin Richards.Look for this to be released soon.

Cool that were getting a Herbie in epic heroes . I know it's way too small but I may still try to fudge it in with my legends
Edit; nevermind it's only in a multi pack. Might still pick it up if it goes on sale
This Fantasticar would be great in Legends form. Not too crazy big. No need for lights and sounds, just that flight stand attached for Johnny. If they could get it to us at a reasonable price, I think it would sell pretty well.
