This one has been a
RUMOR long-time coming, but I do believe this weekend during SDCC will be when we see Hasbro officially reveal their next wave of
Marvel Legends X-Men 97 figures. Hasbro's
Marvel Legends panel is this coming
Friday (7/25) at 11:30am PT. Check back to MarvelousNews for complete coverage of that. We also have new
Marvel Legends pre-orders slated to go live on
Saturday (7/26) at 2pm PT at places like our sponsors
BigBadToyStore.com and
Entertainment Earth. And yes I do believe this wave is what will be going up.
This wave was originally slated to go up for pre-order at the beginning of the year but then got delayed. Here is a breakdown of the figures I believe we will see in this wave:
- Morph
- Jubilee
- Emma Frost
- Cable
- Roberto da Costa
- Logan (Casual)
This is based on info I saw earlier this year and so I am going to assume nothing has changed since then, but I think we will know for sure come this weekend, so stay-tuned.
I'll be getting the Morph. I get to make a Gyrich figure? Yes please

yeah i figure that would be the case. The sentinel is being released soon and they usually release something to compliment it or at least hype it up. Mightn't be interest in this depending on the figures.
Ha totally didn't pay attention to when these were going up, so I was a bit late on the uptake, Only want Shalla-Bal Surfer, she fits in fine as a comic Lady Surfer stand-in, even though the hair isn't exactly long enough, it will do.

Yeah, this 6 are insta-buys for me. The Thing looks beautiful, Reed has stretch, Sues effect looks amazing, both Johnnys have room in my collection depending on what I want to do at any time (for example, powered down for the holidays), and the Surfer looks better than I thought it would!

I am getting the 4 (I won't be getting regular Johnny) and Silver Surfer. I was not planning on getting her. However, Hasbro had to sell me on that base so that I could pose my superior, Norrin Radd, Silver Surfer, on it.
