I guarantee you'll get three more Mandarin figures before I ever get that.
Dan's post is a pretty good indication that he knew what the reaction to this version of the Mandarin would be. Saying "nobody" wanted it is hyperbole. But it's not an exaggeration to say this wasn't the version most Mandarin fans (who have been vocal over the years) were hoping for.
I actually like villains in suits (and wish the Crimson Twins had been done in their EE outfits in Classified). But that tie is awful.

I'm not saying others haven't, but in the almost 20 years that Hasbro have had the license, I've only ever seen people (myself included) ask for Original Mandarin and Animated series Mandarin
I wanted this Mandarin, too, btw. I would have preferred he either had a static tie or a jacket sculpted in motion like the image below, but Tarot's not the only one. Okay? Good.

Like when Psylocke was brainwashed into becoming Lady Mandarin. Or when he took over the Triad. or when he returned from the dead and teamed up with his daughter and wife, which this is based on.
I always say this and many agree with me. There is no such thing as "Who asked for this" when it comes action figures. YOU (in general not just you) may not have asked for it but other have.
I have to echo this. I don't think the "nobody asked for this" or "who asked for" line is ever a good one. As @tarotpoints out, just because you didn't, doesn't mean nobody else did. I'm pretty sure the Revenant or the Aviatrix aren't on anyone's wish list, but they're on mine. They'll probably never get made. I would sure buy them. but they'd probably not sell. Nonetheless, we as a collecting community shouldn't be saying "nobody" wanted this or that figure.
