Shown below is the newly announced Marvel Legends X-Factor Deluxe Strong Guy figure from Hasbro that will be going up for pre-order on August 26 at 1pm ET at places like our sponsors
BigBadToyStore.com and
Entertainment Earth. It will also be available on
Amazon.
It will include 2 new headsculpts, 3 extra hands and a dumbbell for him to lift.
I'm not an MCU guy. I'm not hugely against it when good figures are made, but I don't usually like the looks, But I have to say, MCU Mysterio is such an upgrade on Mysterio. Definitely no offense to those who prefer his comic look (I'm usually right there with you), but I really love the Legends MCU Mysterio. I actually probably prefer Raimiverse Goblin and Doc Ock too, but not by the same margin that I like Mysterio.
Did these guys just get me to buy Another Mysterio? Yes, yes they did.
And speaking of....the Strong Guy looks like a must for me. Just really, Really salty about buying some of my least wanted figures for that baf. Literally only wanted Warpath and Black Tom. Didn't really want that outfit for Sunspot, but was OK with a place holder. Didn't even a little want either DP in that set and am not a fan of Maverick, although he turned out to be a really nice figure. I'm not sure about two Guidos with one not being the detective agency look. He looks like a huge upgrade though, and that dumbell looks fun too.

Yeah, when they didn't announce a pulse con exclusive at SDCC I kind of figure that would be the case.
It should be noted that when he was asked Dan said with MAY get a stream in September.

It is being reported from the Canada Fan Expo convention via TroyCollects that Hasbro will not be holding their annual online Pule-Con event this year and likely won't be doing the 1027 event either. Instead they will be focusing more on attending fall conventions such as NYCC, MCM London and LUCCA Comic and Gaming Conventions. We learned during SDCC that Hasbro plans to sell exclusives at NYCC and MCM London this year which is something they haven't generally done in the past.
The online Pulse-Con event started during the COVID years as many conventions were shut-down, so it's not to surprising they will no longer be moving forward with it, especially when I think most collectors prefer just regular brand fan-streams to see the latest product reveals without out all the fluff of Pulse-Con, and those who attend the physical cons like to interact with the Hasbro brand members in person.

While neither of these 2 reveals excite me, I'll still likely buy both. I have the first retro card Mysterio and the Strong Guy BAF but tend to like both of these better.
I am disappointed by no Marrina or Inhumans reveals, though. I would have been far more interested in those.

Great that Strong Guy is confirmed. Missed out of the BAF. This Mysterio might be worth a purchase as it is different from the last retro version

On to that Mysterio, well that's a thing of beauty, what a great Mysterio, I have no reason to get it though, but it does look very nice, I'm still fine over here with my Lizard wave Mysterio.
Strong Guy, sure fine and cool for those who never built the BAF, so as someone who did I don't need this which is cool beacause I don't like the Head sculpts as much on this one, the BAF's was better.
Biggest takeaway here was Why did I think they'd finally give us Marrina? Stupid me. Who was the one who started that hope train?
Me...... both in all fairness, I have been seeing her in a few listings recently.
