Thomas Kretschmann Joins The Cast Of Avengers 2 As Baron Wolfgang von Strucker

THR reports that actor Thomas Kretschmann (NBC’s Dracula) Joins The Cast Of The Avengers: Age of Ultron As Baron Wolfgang von Strucker, a second villain for the movie. Obviously the robot Ultron who will be voiced by James Spader will be the main villain but they say Stucker will be a antagonist for both Captain America (Chris Evans) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) in the movie.

In the comics Stucker is the arch-nemesis of Fury and one of the main leaders of the Hydra terrorist organization. Some early rumors have indicated Strucker will only appear in the beginning of the movie and really not have a major role for the overall plot, however that remains to be seen if true or not.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is being directed by Joss Whedon and will open domestically in theaters on May 1, 2015.
