Over the course of the last several years advertising during the Super Bowl has become a key way for studio's to promote their big budget films that are set to be released in the coming year, and this years Super Bowl which will air on the Fox Network is no different.
Variety has complied a list of what we can expect to see this coming Sunday.
Disney - “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” (April 4)
Dreamworks - “Need for Speed” (March 14)
Sony - “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” (May 2)
Paramount - “Transformers: Age of Extinction” (June 27)
Lionsgate - “Draft Day” (April 11)
Disney will also be teaming up with Toyota to promote the new Muppets movie
“Muppets Most Wanted” during the game. Disney however will not be running an ad for
Guardians of the Galaxy. Other movies that you won't see promoted during the game include
"Godzilla" from Legendary Entertainment or
"X-Men: Days of Future Past" and
“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" from 20th Century Fox.
Each of these little 30 second Super Bowl ads will cost the studios in the neighborhood of $4 million each.
