Marc Webb Directing Amazing Spider-Man 3

Though it really shouldn't come as much of a surprise, Variety reports that Marc Webb who directed the first two Amazing Spider-Man movies will return to direct the third movie in the trilogy story.

The article also reiterates news from late last year that Star Trek and Transformers scribes Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci are working on a script for a stand-alone "Venom" movie which will be directed by Kurtzman and Drew Goddard is writing a script for a "Sinister Six" movie that he also hopes to direct.

Amazing Spider-Man 3 is expected to hit theater in June 2016.
