Despite the fact that X-Men: Days of Future Past doesn't open in theaters for another two months Director Bryan Singer is once again looking ahead and out talking about the next movie in the X-Franchise called X-Men Apocalypse which is slated to hit theaters in 2016.

This time he is talking with Cine Premiere where he reveals he is thinking about adding Gambit and potentially a young Nightcrawler to the cast of characters for the movie. He goes on to say that at one point he was looking to put a young Nightcrawler in Days of Future Past but decided not to because he felt they were forcing too many mutants into the story.

Both Gambit and Nightcrawler have previously appeared on the big screen. Nightcrawler was played by Alan Cumming in the second X-Men movie and Gambit was played by Taylor Kitsch in the first Wolverine movie.

X-Men: Days of Future Past opens May 23, 2014, X-Men: Apocalypse will hit on May 26, 2016.
