Gambit Getting Solo Movie After X-Men: Apocalypse

Following the news from earlier today that Channing Tatum had been cast as the mutant Cajun thief known as Gambit for an unknown future X-Men project, THR now confirms that the character will be getting his own solo movie after he is introduced in X-Men: Apocalypse.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will open in theaters on May 23, 2014 followed by X-Men: Apocalypse which is currently slated to open in theaters on May 27, 2016. There has been no release date announced as of yet for the Gambit movie.
