While most fans seem to have already written this one off as a flop, Director Josh Trank has revealed to the folks at
Collider, that an official teaser trailer for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot movie from 20th Century Fox will be debuting this week.
Trank goes on to say the movie will be a modern telling of how these four iconic characters came together and influences for the film include those from David Cronenberg and his work on movies such as Scanners and The Fly, as well as The Ultimates comic with lots of the scientific aspects being included in this movie.
Don't expect any type of X-Men/Fantastic Four crossovers anytime soon and look for some kind of Easter egg to be revealed in the upcoming teaser trailer.
The cast for the new film includes Miles Teller (Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic), Kate Mara (Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman), Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm/The Thing), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm/Human Torch) and Toby Kebbell as the villain Dr. Doom. The movie is slated to open hits theaters on AUGUST 7, 2015.
Check out below the first official image released from the movie with a behind-the-scenes look at Trank with actor Michael B. Jordan who plays The Human Torch in some kind of body suit, we assume for CGI flame effects to be added later. We will post the teaser trailer for you once it is released.
