Drew Goddard Likely To Script, Helm New 'Spider-Man'

Deadline is reporting that rumors through the grapevine have Drew Goddard the likely candidate to script and direct the next installment of the Spider-Man franchise. Sources are claiming he has a meeting and it's sure to lead to a deal.

Goddard was setting up the Sinister Six spinoff, which focuses on Spidey’s various arch-villains and was supposed to broaden chances at making fresh movies but after Sony Pictures decided to go back to the drawing board on Spidey, enthusiasm cooled on Sinister Six. This will also be the first Spider-Man movie to involve Kevin Feige, who will produce with Amy Pascal.
