EW has revealed some new images of Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther for the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie as well as some tid-bits of information about the character such as how his costume in the movie will be said to be made out of Vibranium, the same metal used for Captain America's shield. His retractable claws will also be made from Vibranium. As for actual powers, expect him to be extremely agile with a fighting style that incorporates an amalgam of moves which mimics a number of different animals beyond just cats. It also mentions he will have brute strength.
The article also talks about why T’Challa gets involved with Cap's and Iron Man's Civil War to begin with. He is drawn in by the Sokovia Accords, "which were enacted by world leaders after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron as a way to mandate control over those with “enhanced abilities” who say they only want to do good for the world'.
As to which side he is on, despite the appearances of what we saw in last weeks trailer the article indicates T'Challa is undecided.
The movie stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Frank Grillo, Tom Holland, with William Hurt and Daniel Brühl. Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” is directed by Anthony & Joe Russo and produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Patricia Whitcher, Nate Moore and Stan Lee serve as executive producers and the screenplay is by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” opens in the U.S. on May 6, 2016.
