New Venom Stand-Alone Movie Gets A October 5, 2018 Release Date & Writers

Sony yesterday announced that it plans on releasing a new stand-alone Venom movie in 2018. This movie is to be part of their new cinematic universe which stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man. Venom is slated for release on October 5, 2018. While no stars for the film have been announced, it was said that Scott Rosenberg (Pain & Gain, Jumanji) & Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) will be working on the script for the movie. The last actor to play Venom on the big screen was Topher Grace back during Spider-Man 3, which was not received well by fans.

Being Tom Holland's Spider-Man is also part of the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe with the Avengers and like, it will be interesting to see how or if Venom will fit into the overall Marvel picture.
