Maisie Williams (Game Of Thrones) and Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch and Split) have joined the cast for the upcoming New Mutants movie from 20th Century Fox and Marvel.
Taylor-Joy is said to be playing the role of Magik who in the comics is the younger sister of X-Men member Colossus. Williams will play the role of Wolfsbane, a character with strong religious beliefs that causes her to often struggle with her mutant ability to transform into a wolf.
The movie will be directed by Josh Boone and is based on the 80's X-Men spin-off comic book series from Marvel which focuses on a group of young mutant students who are part of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. The comic book series was originally created by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod. The team will consists of original team members Danielle Moonstar, Wolfsbane, Sunspot, Cannonball Magik and the Techno-Organic alien named Warlock.
New Mutants is slated with a April 13, 2018 release date.
