Marvel and Sony gave a teaser to the third Venom movie by throwing the movie's logo at the end of a sizzle reel at CinemaCon.
No talent attachments were revealed but in the first two films, Tom Hardy starred as the Marvel spider-antihero.

Oh this makes my head hurt. Sony.. ugh.
I bought and watched the other two films so I'll at least pick it up when it drops on bluray eventually. It's not a movie I'll trudge out to a theater to see (no movie is anymore. ) I really dug the first movie and the second had some cool visuals but was a huge mess.
Who will be the villain this time, Lasher or Phage?
Ive bailed on Sonys Venom franchise. I know it was a huge leap of faith but for Venom 2 my thinking was its has Venom ( first film was terrible but it was fun) and CARNAGE. There is no way they can F#@& this up. But I was SHOCKED to see what a unfocused, scatterbrained, nom-sensical film they made. To this day, I cannot explain the plot.
So nope.. dont care about Venom 3

Nah bro this is a consensus agreement. Why? Like this whole thing got me lost.
Sony really wants us to sympathize with their villains dont they

Maybe Venom in Hawaii sees the Tom Hardy/Eddie Brock of the MCU. He's on vacation. He works at the Daily Planet and has an angry rivalry with newly unattached Peter Parker. Baby Venom recognizes Eddie Brock so he bonds with him. Maybe he keeps the name Venom because he's the only symbiote in this universe, so far as he knows.
This whole keeping the universes separate is an unnecessary contrivance. It defeats the purpose of bringing Spider-Man into the MCU. Unite Marvel! The Sony non-Spider-Man movies don't have to have any Disney production involvement. That doesn't mean they can't be set in the MCU - have MCU posters on the walls, ads on buses going by, whatever. Maybe a Disney character can pop in. Maybe there's some rights issues by doing that. Fine. Sony can produce their own movies and not have to rely on Disney making them, but there's no reason the creators can't make it cohesive. It's a win-win for Sony. That's the best kind of win.
Hey I like this proposed Idea, it would work, and could fix the blunders of the first 2 films but keep at least Tom Hardy to reprise the role, and not have to change much, but integrate eddie/venom into the MCU proper, and everything can be all nicey nicey.

As a big Venom fan, I do not want this. Venom 2 was abysmal garbage. I was partially on board with the first one... second one showed they cant do him right. You cant polish a turd... in the wind.
Please No.
After what happened with Venom 2, and recently Morbius... just don't Sony, just because you can doesn't mean you should.
