Sources from within have informed
Deadline that Michael Waldron is set to write Avengers: Secret Wars for Marvel Studios.
Plot details are being kept under wraps. Avengers: Secret Wars was announced at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, including its November 8th, 2025, release date.
Marvel Studios went through meetings with numerous writers but the studio knew Waldron was the writer for his work with last year’s hit Loki series for Disney+. Waldron served as executive producer and showrunner on the series, which has been renewed for a second season.
Waldron is film credited with writing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and is developing and writing Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige’s secret Star Wars film for Lucasfilm.
No thanks. I don't want to see more of my favourites ruined.
I did enjoy Loki and at least that series moved the MCU forward. Not all series can say they did that. MoM was decent, but after WandaVision, Spider-Man NWH and finally Dr Strange, Ive had my fill of multiverses or alternate universes.
It will be interesting to see what the Avengers look like by 25.
He did do Loki and that was AMAZING. I have faith that this will work out awesome with him and that MoMs issues and divisiveness were a consequence of Raimis style and not Waldrons writing. Not bashing on Raimi at all, hes just really not for everyone and thats fine.
Disappointed if this pans out to be true. Multiverse of Madness was pretty underwhelming, and for a film this big, they need someone better.
