Hugh Jackman may be returning to reprise his role as Wolverine in the third installment of Deadpool 3, but what was most important to Jackman's return was the timeline of Logan.
Jackman told SiriusXM that he wanted to make sure that his return would in no way mess up the events of Logan and the conclusion of that iteration of Wolverine.
“It’s all because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines,” Jackman said of his return. “Now we can go back because, you know, it’s science. So, I don’t have to screw with the ‘Logan’ timeline, which was important to me. And I think probably to the fans too.”
Ryan Reynolds assured fans and announced in September that
“‘Logan’ takes place in 2029. Totally separate thing. Logan died in ‘Logan.’ Not touching that.”
The third Deadpool is set for a May 2023 production with a theater release on November 8th, 2024.

Please, go ahead and screw with it. There's hardly anything sacred about the Fox Timeline.
I always assumed Logan was an alternate future anyways not the definitive end of the FOX movies
Looks like they're trying to cover their collectivein the very likely event that Hugh's Wolverine is ruined by his appearance in Deadpool. I don't know why they care. Hugh already appeared in X3, Apocalypse and more importantly: X-Men Origins Wolverine. (I know I know they want to protect the perfect ending they had for his character in Logan. You know how else Hugh can protect that perfect ending? Hugh should listen to his friend Jerry Seinfeld).

why explain it? it's Deadpool. That alone should explain it.

That's the only logical way to go about it actually. And with the multiverse they really don't have to try, it's very simple. It's just an alternate version of the character. One of the good things that the multiverse adds to the MCU.
