New Release Dates For Deadpool 3, Captain America: Brave New World, Blade, Thunderbolts, Marvel's Spider-Man Universe, And Venom 3: Let There Be Carnage

Outsiders - November 09, 2023
Disney/Marvel's Deadpool 3 has been postponed from its original release date of May 3, 2024, leaving the summer season without a kickoff film. The movie, directed by Shawn Levy, is currently going back into production and will now take over the release date of Captain America: Brave New World, which was originally set for July 26, 2024.

However, Captain America will no longer be the summer kickoff film, as it has been moved to February 14, 2025.

Blade, which was originally set for release on Valentine's Day 2025, has been moved to November 7, 2025.

Thunderbolts, which had not yet started production due to strikes, have been moved from December 20, 2024, to July 25, 2025.

Sony, which controls the rights to Marvel's Spider-Man universe, has also moved its 2024 spinoff threequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage from July 14 to November 8.

Just cancel the damn movie. Sony, you're not going to make a Spider-verse. Stick to the animated stuff.

They should just cancel it and get the tax back like WB does

Sony has officially announced that the release of Kraven the Hunter has been postponed to Friday, December 13th. The film was initially scheduled to be delayed until August 30th, following a nearly year-long setback caused by the 2023 Hollywood strikes.

spacer.pnguGH I hate the title, this franchise is a train wreck, and judging from how it's been going, this one will be the worst, I just have such low expectations, Let there be Carnage was pretty horrific, the first film was filmsy and okay at best, Venom is one of the coolest Marvel characters, it was never hard to make these movies cool, but sony is gonna sony all over them, Also Tom Hardy is awesome, but why is he such a goofy Eddie Brock? ah well the best take away is this movie has "last" in it's title, so I can't wait for it to be the Last one. Sony give it up.

This is unrelated to the title announcement, but despite the quality of these Sony marvel movies, i'd really like to see some figures made. They did Venom a few years ago, but nothing else after that and I'd love a Tom Hardy action figure or a Kraven from the upcoming movie.

All these Sony Spiderverse live actions need to stop. Venom without Spidey is just dumb. Now this Kraven movie is gonna hold Kraven hostage from the MCU. He was supposed to be in Black Panther, which coulda been really cool. And we will never get a Kravens Last Hunt while they think he's a "billion dollar franchise". Seriously Sony needs to not make any money off these until they see how dumb they are being. Sony should just use Miles and MCU could use Peter. Then no conflicts cause they're in different universes. The eventual crossover would be awesome and make money. Instead they limit and hold back tons of characters from the MCU, like Uncle Ben, that make them do all this weird stuff to work around their limitations and weaken the overall product. And stuff like Madam Web definitely contributes to SH fatigue, and overall confusion with the genre further weakening their product.

Whatever. Venom was good. There Will be Carnage was okay but would have been better if they had a better Shriek. The Law of Diminishing Returns will probably hold true and this one will be a honker. Especially with some of the people be announced as involved in production. Avi Arad? Really? Have we not learned nothing from history? I know he's only a producer but seriously everything he touches turns to a brick. And not the good kind. Ugh. As usual I'll hold out hope that this will not be terrible but these are not good news tidbits.

Sony has announced that the third installment of the Venom franchise has been given a new title and release date. The film, titled Venom: The Last Dance, will now hit theaters on October 25th of this year instead of November 8th.

Kelly Marcel is set to direct the movie, with Tom Hardy reprising his role as the black widow creature for the third time. Marcel, along with Hardy, co-wrote the screenplay based on a story they developed together. The film is being produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Hutch Parker, Marcel, and Hardy. Joining the cast are Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
