Lewis Pullman, known for his role as Lt. Robert "Bob" Floyd in Top Gun: Maverick, has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Steven Yeun in Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts, according to sources confirmed by
Deadline. If the deal is finalized, Pullman will join the esteemed ensemble cast, which includes Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Sebastian Stan, and Wyatt Russell, as previously announced during D23 in 2022.
The upcoming Marvel tentpole will be helmed by director Jake Schreier, while the script will be penned by Eric Pearson, the talented writer behind Black Widow. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will be producing the film. Although details about the plot remain scarce, the source material revolves around a group of villains who undertake government-sanctioned missions.
Thunderbolts is scheduled to hit theaters in July 2025.

Several "reliable" entertainment media outlets are reporting as such. So I guess it's a done deal unless he comes up with his own scheduling conflicts. Which I personally think would be in his best interest at this point.

Geraldine Viswanathan has been confirmed to join Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts, according to Deadline. She will be replacing Ayo Edebiri, who had to depart from the project due to scheduling conflicts caused by the delays in production caused by the dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes last year.
This announcement comes after Lewis Pullman was recently added to the film, stepping in for Steven Yeun who also had to leave due to similar scheduling issues as Edebiri.
Viswanathan will be joining an ensemble that was originally announced during Disney's D23 event last year. The ensemble includes Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent John Walker, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster.
Interesting, well glad they are already actively trying to fill that Sentry role, I don't really think I know much about Lewis Pullman, but from what I do know, I'm not sure if I think he looks much like the right actor again for Sentry, but it he hasn't even taken the role yet, I mean in the end it's just about how it turns out on screen, I for some reason thought these dudes would be cool Sentrys : Austin Butler, Dacre Montgomery & Keegan Allen?
anyways I don't really care who they cast, just hope the end result is good.

That's cool. I really like that guy. Spitting image of his dad. Whose also one of my favorite actors. Still don't see him as Sentry but just like Yeun he's got the acting chops to pull it off. Not sure that would be a good career move for him though. People seem to be avoiding MCU roles like they're the plague. The infection that is the Disney Magic seems to have poisoned the Marvel magic to the core.
