Yes sometimes you CAN judge a book by its cover. Ik this is months later but as someone who saw it on Netflix and sadly finished it, I have got to say it was the worst movie I ever seen. And man I have seen way too many movies.

I'm watching this because of the plot... I hope we get action figures of Kraven and Rhino... even if they're inaccurate character representations, they look like good live-action adaptations of the comic designs

While I don't so much mind that stuff if it pertains to the story adding it gratuitously to try to attract a particular crowd is almost certainly going push away another crowd. Effectively shooting themselves in the foot. The secret to a good movie is actually a lot easier than that. Coming from the consumer side anyway. I want a good story, decent casting and acting, great action and fight scenes and truth to the character. Blood and gore should just be consequential to any of those aspects. If its belongs there, good. I not then don't force it. Yeah, Once one movie is popular, everyone wants to copy it. AndyL - 2024-08-16 @ 10:45 am

An easy pass. I'd rather a Spider-Man movie with Kraven hunting him than this environmentalist origin story. Sure, it'd be the same as every other Spider-Man movie, but there's a reason the character has been around for 60 years. I think everyone is suddenly getting a case of Deadpool fever. It's really funny to me that I would have been perfectly fine with the Sonyverse casting choices if only they had been properly done movies with Spider-Man. Tom Hardy as Venom? Works for me. Jared Leto as Morbius? Fine by me. Aaron Taylor Johnson as Kraven, looks great. Hell, I'd have even been cool with a different take on Madame Web if the movie wasn't absolute dogshit. It just absolutely blows my mind that Sony could have been sitting on an absolute goldmine, if they had kept Andrew as Spidey or even someone else and then just made all these villain movies as either sequels or spin-offs. What a wasted opportunity.
