X-Force Is Back From Marvel Comics

by Jay Cochran
September 13, 2018
This December, the X-FORCE reassembles…for revenge! Extermination writer Ed Brisson and Cosmic Ghost Rider artist Dylan Burnett are teaming up with Young Guns artist Pepe Larraz to bring you Domino, Cannonball, Shatterstar, Boom Boom, and Warpath in an all-new adventure!

“Coming out of EXTERMINATION, Domino, Shatterstar, Cannonball, and Warpath are reeling from the loss of their mentor and have unanswered questions,” Brisson told Marvel.com in an interview. “They're on the hunt for this new Kid Cable to get those answers—some want his head, some just want to talk to him to find out what the hell is going on. Is this really their Cable? Is this an impostor?”

“X-Force has always been the one X-team that stood out the most for me,” added Burnett. “A lot of my favorite mutants have belonged to it over the years (namely Cable and Psylocke) but being able to bring back the original lineup in a new way is a huge honor. They're just a bunch of badasses. It's dope. I'm stoked.”

I like the team lineup all right, but the whole 'Kid Cable' thing... yawn.

Let me know if Marrow and the rest of Spurrier's X-Force show up. They deserve more than they got.

Really dig the modern Shatterstar look! Not that there's anything bad about his original appearance. I just think the white jacket with the black body suit is pretty sweet.

Teenage Cable smh. I wonder if Marvel is looking to start a young X-men team with all these teenagers.

Curious to see how this team comes to be post Extermination. Seeing Young Cable was already such a mind-f**k so this'll be an interesting approach, no doubt.

Ive been wanting to read an ongoing X-men title. Nothing has keep my interest for long. I end up dropping x-men when money gets tight because most of the time the stories are just ok. Maybe this one will stay on my pull list longer than the first story arch

My second favorite X-Team.
