The return of the Celestial Messiah to the Blue Area of the Moon sets off a new chapter in the Kree/Skrull War—only this time, it’s a Kree/Skrull Alliance aimed directly at Earth, and only the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and more of Earth’s heroes stand in their way… Behold what awaits in EMPYRE #1 with this new trailer featuring Executive Editor Tom Brevoort and writers Al Ewing and Dan Slott.
“If you’re a longtime Marvel reader, this is going to pay off so many big things,” promises Slott. “If you’re a Marvel reader who started yesterday, welcome to the rich legacy of the Marvel Universe.”
“This is going to change things forever both in terms of the architecture of Marvel space, the vast cosmic politics of it all but also in this really intense, emotional, personal level,” teases Ewing. “I’d be astonished if anyone guesses what we got coming.”
EMPYRE #1 written by Al Ewing and Dan Slott with art by Valerio Schiti, goes on sale April 15th in comic shops, on the Marvel Comics App, and on Marvel.com! To find a comic shop near you, visit www.comicshoplocator.com or call 1-888-comicbook.

Agree....Al Ewing brings his brilliance to this series....I'll buy the 1st few issues maybe...as long as my pocket permits.
I'm super excited for this event and its repercussions on the larger MUI'd really hope we get figures from this especially an updated Hulkling (with his Emperor look with sword and all) and Wiccan, new Skrull and Kree soldiers and important members, and any other characters
I wonder if i need this main empyre issues...more of an X-men fan which will have their own empyre series
Yeah I am certainly on board with this, seems really quite interesting, one of the things that really got me was the simple fact it's really slapping my face with the whoa... new stuff but about old stuff vibe, kree x skrull war stuff was really great back when and always had a huge amount of bang to it....now an alliance, plus big character team-up scenarios.... oh boy
