From The Infinity Gauntlet to The Infinity War, the emergence of the Infinity Stones has resulted in some of Marvel�s most memorable epics. Now, these legendary artifacts have returned, and the next chapter in their storied history is on the horizon! Who will wield its unbelievable cosmic power this time? Find out this June in INFINITE DESTINIES, the highly-anticipated Marvel event that will be told over the course of eight thrilling annuals and conclude in INFINITY SCORE, a game-changing upcoming arc in BLACK CAT!

INFINITE DESTINIES will trace the current whereabouts of the Infinity Stones, some of which some of which have fallen into the hands of Marvel�s newest breakout characters. Marvel�s biggest heroes know all too well the destruction that the Infinity Stones can herald, and each part of this saga will see an iconic character clash with a rising star.

It all kicks off in IRON MAN ANNUAL #1 by writer Jed MacKay and artist Ibraim Roberson. When Iron Man learns about the strange people who kidnapped and tortured Miles Morales, he HAS to look into it. What he finds out about the Assessor and especially Quantum will shock you. Secrets are revealed in this in-depth look at some of the coolest new villains that will lay the groundwork for major future Marvel stories!

The event continues in CAPTAIN AMERICA ANNUAL #1 by writer Gerry Duggan and artist Marco Castiello. The fugitive known as Overtime broke out of death row when the Time Stone chose to bond with his soul, giving him powers he barely understood. Now, thanks to Captain America... his time is up.

Part three will take place in BLACK CAT ANNUAL #1 by Jed MacKay and artist Joey Vazquez. Felicia Hardy�s latest caper finds herself on a deadly journey across Seoul, where she comes face to face with White Fox, Tiger Division, and the new hero who recently made his startling debut in the sold-out TASKMASTER #3: Taegukgi!

�We�ve had a wave of incredible new characters over the last few years, and INFINITE DESTINIES will shine a light on eight of them,� Editor Nick Lowe said. �We�ll discover new aspects of these heroes and villains in adventures with our most archetypal Marvel heroes.�

"It's been exciting to work on Infinite Destinies- it's a story that plumbs all areas of the Marvel Universe, offering something for pretty much everyone's taste,� MacKay said. �I've gotten to work with characters who I've wanted to write for ages and also keep on with some old favorites. We're plotting a course for some exciting stories in the future, so I hope that readers enjoy it as much as we did!"

Each issue will also include a chapter of �Infinite Fury� starring the original Nick Fury. Fury�s own quest to find the current bearers of the Infinity Stones will take him all over the Marvel Universe and pit him against some very powerful people who will terrify both Fury and YOU!

Oh yeah, with the return of Logan. This is more that all these characters have gained powers from the Stones. So I assume theyre gonna team up to stop Black Cat

Yeah, I think I'm thinking of the actual build up to Infinity Warps where Marvel explained where all the Infinity Gems were, like Wolverine had one and Turk had one, etc.

Yeah that was Infinity Warps or something like that which was just Gamora killing Thanos and taking the Infinity Stones and creating her own universe which merged a lot of characters together, and also introduced the new Moondragon and Phyla-Vell from an alternate timeline, which was one of the good things that came from that. The rest of the story not so much. I think that story or its offshoot introduced the new character thats onthe Cap cover.

Can we ever get a PIP THE TROLL and COSMO 2 pack? Or a legit HOWARD THE DUCK? They seem like home- runs for comic fans.

I think Marvel's biggest problem comes from the fact that the MCU is so popular that many casual fans have turned to the comics looking for stories similar to what they've seen on the big screen. But, considering the Infinity Gauntlet storyline that the blockbusters were loosely based on came out decades ago, Marvel was forced to come up with something that hits the mark for those new fans. Hence, we get stories with Thanos and new stories with the Infinity Stones. Unfortunately for long time comic fans, this just seems like another rehash of an already overused story. To Marvel, however, this is cashing in on popular stories and bringing in new comic buying fans to their product so they, too, can become bored when ten years down the road we're getting more rehashes.

Marvel is starting to feel like the beat it to death corporation. This could be a decent story but it's getting old that Thanos and or the Infinity Gems keep being used. Ill get the Cap book but otherwise I'm not interested in more of this.

Felicia being in the mix feels a bit odd, but considering I've heard good things about Jed MacKay, I'm not worried.

I know that even the press release goes over how the Infinity Stones have "returned" but this is really just a continuation of Gerry Duggan's Infinity Stones saga that hasbeen going since 2017'sAll-New Guardians of the Galaxy. The guy who is going to appear in the Captain America issue, Overtime, actually debuted right at the end of 2018's Infinity Wars. So while the Infinity Stones have been beaten to death, I'm content they are continuing this saga. It's not going to be after this story is done that I'm going to hope the Stones remain in limbo for a while.
