The 1941 #1 Captain America Auctions For $3.1 Million Dollars

by Outsiders
April 8, 2022
In 1941, the first Captain America comic book sold for 10 cents. Today, it was sold at auction for $3.1 million.

This price is short of the $3.6 million for Spider-Man’s first comic appearance that was sold in 2014. Superman No. 1 sold for $3.2 million in 2014 and Batman's debut sold for $2.2 million in 2021.

The fourth Captain America is in the works by Marvel Studios with Anthony Mackie as Captain America. The script was done by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier head writer and creator Malcolm Spellman, along with series staff writer Dalan Musson. No director has been set for this installment.
