Who Are The Superior Avengers?

Doctor Doom reigns supreme in ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM, a status quo-shattering event overtaking the Marvel Universe starting next month. But while the world may be under his thumb, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are not. In response, Doom will assemble an all-new Avengers team befitting of his new world order—deadlier, meaner, and all-around SUPERIOR to any Avengers team that’s come before! Discover their secrets and witness them in action this April in SUPERIOR AVENGERS, a six-issue limited series written by rising star Steve Foxe (Timeslide, New Champions) and drawn by acclaimed artist Luca Maresca (Venom War: Lethal Protectors, X-Men: Forever).
Comprised of new versions of twisted Marvel supervillains, the SUPERIOR AVENGERS include ABOMINATION, DOCTOR OCTOPUS, GHOST, KILLMONGER, MALEKITH, and ONSLAUGHT. Are they really who they claim to be? Where did they come from? And, most importantly, whose side are they really on?
And there came a day, unlike any other, when Doctor Doom ruled the world…and he needed an AVENGERS team all of his own! Kristoff Vernard, son of Victor Von Doom, has been tasked with building the newest iteration of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes! But who are these would-be heroes? And how did they come to be the SUPERIOR AVENGERS? Find out in a tale unlike any other in the landscape that is ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM!
“Introducing any new character to the Marvel Universe—let alone an entire cast of them—is both an honor and no small terror, so when editor Wil Moss reached out about developing an intense, secretive team of Avengers for ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM, I knew I had to swing for the fences,” Foxe shared. “The Avengers that readers are going to meet here may have familiar names, but you’ll quickly come to learn why they consider themselves superior to other teams. This book features some of the most ruthless, wide-scale action I’ve ever written at Marvel, and I’m so thrilled to be telling this story alongside Luca Maresca. Luca nails both the subtler mind games at play in our story and the (sometimes literally) breakneck action.”
“Doctor Doom is one of my favorite villains, and I can't wait for fans to learn the story of his new Avengers,” Maresca added. “In designing these characters, I tried to keep as many elements of their classic versions as possible. In clothing or equipment, they always have some reference to their source character. I was very excited to co-create new Marvel characters. Giving them a life and a new identity is something I love to do, and as the story progresses, I’m excited to peel back their layers, deepening them and baring their soul! Readers are in for some big surprises!”

Onslaught is back? When did that happen?

I hate what I'm seeing here, uninspired to the max, like just no. Someone needs to stop these guys.
I like that they are gonna use Kristoff again. He was a big deal when I was a kid and then he kinda just stopped being used. Not sure if I just stopped reading the comics that his story got wrapped up in, but I don't remember what happened to him.

The most laughable part of this is the way they use the word NEW. Nothing and I mean nothing Marvel Comics has done in recent years is NEW. Everything is just a clone of better characters and ideas built during much better times with much better creators. New Characters? The F out of here. Every character here is nothing but a clone of a good character. I can't believe they think were stupid enough to sell this as something new. Just because something doesn't contain the tag CLONE SAGA on it doesn't mean it isn't a clone. The team and concept in itself is nothing but a clone of the Dark Reign and the Dark Avengers. All these characters are just copies of older characters. Sure I'm sure they'll tag on some contemporary characteristics like one of them is a cosplayer and one of them will make Superhero music and one of them runs the Dark Avengers subreddit. I mean the Superior Avengers subreddit. Sorry. Feel like that's been done before and it was a massive no sell and a bomb. Guess I'll have to check on that. I don't know. All these GREAT NEW IDEAS seem to run together somehow. In a universe where they have such a massive bank of characters and history the fact that these editors keep letting these so called creators keep dreaming up teams 5 and 6 deep of throwaway characters just tells you what state they are in and they keep making it easier and easier to understand why.
This is a bad joke right? Like who would call their leader Abomination?
