ABC On Whedon's 'S.H.I.E.L.D.', "Long Lasting Series"

Outsiders - January 10, 2013
With the Television Critics Association happening this week, ABC's Paul Lee announced that the Avengers-themed effort, pilot Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D, from The Avengers writer-director Joss Whedon, will become the first to go to pilot and soon destined to go to series. "We’d love to see S.H.I.E.L.D. go not just from pilot to series but to last a long time."

After the session he revealed that Whedon "is already working on (extra) scripts for the series." Scheduling for the show has ABC looking later primetime and S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't going to be the last Marvel series on ABC. "We’re developing a lot of Marvel shows." Lee said.
