TVLine has learned that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will have Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie (played by Henry Simmons) as the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D. when the ABC series returns for Season 6. Sources point out to look at the background of the photo above, the organization is back to being a bit more robust, following a season of working with a skeleton crew.
“Personally, I love the challenge of being the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Simmons tells
TVLine.
“Mack has worked side-by-side with the people he now leads, and that works to his advantage — he’s one of them.”
“But the one thing that can hinder Mack’s ability to lead is his reluctance to put the people he loves in the line of danger,” Simmons allows.
“As a result, this may lead to Mack’s toughest decision as director. What sacrifices will be made?”
Season 6 of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns in the summer of 2019 with 13-episodes and has been renewed for a 13-episode Season 7.
I'm glad it's renewed. I totally thought the coming season was going to be the last but was pleasantly surprised by the renewal news.
Here is another show that started off slow for me, it felt like with all the characters marvel has they just weren't using them. Finally I lost interest for a few episodes but got back on board when they showed Ghost Rider in a few episodes. When they introduced the Kree into it I started to get interested and have put the show back on my watch list. Thanks for the update.
Hopefully, the team will be more legit instead of the team on the run plot that has been happening on and off since season 1
