Hulu has renewed Hit-Monkey for a second season, but they have canceled the Marvel name.
According to
The Hollywood Reporter, Hulu has dropped the Marvel name and is no longer associating the companies together with the second season of Hit-Monkey and will be associated with 20th Television Animation.
The second season pickup comes more than a year after the show debuted in November 2021 and is only one of four series to make a second season. MODOK was canceled after a single season.
Marvel Television gave the green light to four series, headed by Jeph Loeb. These series were an animated counter to Marvel's Netflix series of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Hit-Monkey was the only animated series left after Howard the Duck, Tigra & Dazzler, and the Offenders idea were scrapped and MODOK was canceled. Marvel Television soon folded into Kevin Feige's Marvel Studio in 2019, after Loeb departed.
Hit-Monkey follows a Japanese snow monkey whose tribe is slaughtered as he joins forces with the ghost of an American assassin and they begin killing their way through the Yakuza underworld. Season two will be set in New York. The voice cast features Olivia Munn, Jason Sudeikis, Ally Maki, and Fred Tatasciore; Leslie Jones will join the show for season two. Co-creators Josh Gordon and Will Speck remain as executive producers.

Well, this is a surprise.
This is good news I really liked the first season, it was a good fun show, I was actually not pleased when I heard they cancelled this show because it was good, glad to see they changed their minds.

This is great news! My youngest son (19) and I watched the first season of this together and loved it! We enjoyed the Patton Oswalt MODOK show too.
Best way to make sure there is no season 3 is adding Leslie Jones to the cast
