According to Deadline, Amazon has approved a new Marvel show while choosing to cancel a previously approved show. Amazon has officially announced the approval of Noir, a series based on the Marvel comic, which will feature Nicolas Cage as the lead actor. Noir was intended to be the second installment in a collection of live-action Spider-Man Universe series produced for MGM+ and Prime Video.

Silk: Spider Society, the series that received the green light in 2022, is now facing a red light. Despite the absence of an official explanation for the series not progressing, Angela Kang, the showrunner continues to be associated with Amazon MGM Studios. Under her overall deal, Kang will be involved in various other projects.

Amazon continues to uphold its dedication to producing a collection of live-action series centered around the Sony Pictures Universe, featuring a vast array of 900 Marvel characters including Spider-Man and his companions. However, the rights to the Silk character, originally created by Dan Slott and Humberto, have now returned to the primary studio, Sony Pictures Television. Sony Pictures Television is currently exploring opportunities to sell the series to other potential buyers.

I still can't believe this is going to be live-action. I mean, I'm excited, but also, really?

If this is MGM+ in the US, I'm thinking I'm never gonna get a chance to watch it.
