Charley Feldman (supervising producer on the first two seasons and writer of about a third of the episodes) was the obvious choice to takeover as showrunner. I guess she must have quit after DeMayo was fired. Too bad. I doubt highly this show's quality will continue penned by the writer of some of What If?'s worst episodes. Also a couple of their best, but that's not a high bar.
Looking at his IMDB... eh, he hasn't really worked on anything that actually impressed me, sadly. I really hope subsequent seasons are able to hold up to the quality of the first, but news like this doesn't fill me with that confidence. I guess time will tell, though.
What If Season 2 was ... terrible to say the least ... an annoying protagonism by Carter and a new non-interesting character (no talking about the sex or the race, just the amount of power that can handle just like that). Please dont try to "empower" women when in this case we have already THREE loved and super-powered female characters, and if you do, fans we are waiting for more development of other existing mutants like Psylocke, Polaris, Mystique, etc etc etc
We just ask that you don't screw up a good thing!
