Marvel has posted on their UK Twitter account that Guardians of the Galaxy will be released on Blu-ray in the UK November 24, 2014.
They also posted images for the DVD/Blu-ray covers as well as an exclusive Steelcover version which is made to look like the Walkman Cassette Player used by Starl-Lord in the movie. In the UK this version will be sold at the retailer known as
Zavvi for £24.99.
There has been know official announcement yet for the US release of the movie on Blu-ray and DVD but initial reports indicate that it will be out a few weeks later on December 9. It's become pretty common practice for the Marvel movies here in the US to be released on digital download a week or two before the Blu-ray/DVD versions it is a good bet that will hold true for this movie as well. It's unknown at this time if or where the Cassette Player Steelbook version will be released in the US, though it likely will along with various other retail exclusive versions.
