Captain America New Costume By Geejay

October 20, 2007
Today's Marvelous Custom was done by forum member Geejay who has created a Captain America figure in his brand new costume as designed by Alex Ross. Here is what Geejay had to share for this Marvelous Custom.
After seeing the new Cap costume, I had to make one, since I haven't made a Cap custom yet. I wanted to catch that "glowing/ shiney effect" on his colored parts of his suit, by adding white, and different shades of blues. He was made from FO Punisher, and his boots were from ML Ckye's! Hope you enjoy him as much as I enjoyed making him!

it looks really bad!

This custom made me realize that Cap's new outfit looks a lot better and works a lot better with the gun if he doesn't have his shield. I know that sounds like blasphemy, but it's just more visually acceptable without it. Love the custom, I'd say watch how heavy you wash, but really, it looks amazing, I know I couldn't do better myself.

totally agree man! ^_^ but like i said, i used parts that i had available, in this case ultimate cap's head and cyke's boots. and i could never make a character EXACTLY the same, you know what I mean? thanks for the input ! ^_^ 2nd version will be better, hopefully, hehe!

If you receive 'good job' messages only, you don't improve your toys #party#

Like I said, you did a impressive custom.

p.s. anyone wants to custom a f'n good ML Black Widow?

thanks guyz!

salatinojoe- i know it's not 100% accurate, and the mask is from ultimate cap, but i try to make my customs a little different from the actual character and add my own preference on em, just to be a little different. Also, i use what parts i have thats similar and wont take away from the characters distinct feature. my goal was to make him noticable as the new costume of Capt., and i think you can notice that was the goal here, so accomplished? ^_^ thanks for stopping by man!

The mask is different and the striped front is too wide and long... the back is awesome as the accessories. Good job.

This is quite an awesome custom man! I was actually going to put a request out to see who would be the fastest at putting a "New Cap" custom up! But you beat me to it! Now that was FAST! Quality too! Great job!
