I'm just not understanding why people are saying this or that figure shouldn't be a BAF. Did Hasbro publish some rule stating what the criteria is for a BAF and are now violating said rule? I do agree that the larger figures probably should get the "BAF" designation, but whether its something like Hit Monkey or the Sentinels, its still aFigure. Now personally I passed on Demogoblin, because I already have Hobgoblin and the star of the show, Green Goblin. But that's me.
Marvel Legends is supposed to give us a more unified look across the figures, and they do this 99% of the time... and then there are frustrating examples like Demogoblin. He just looks far too exaggerated and cartoon-ish, especially in the head sculpt. We already had an overly-stylized 6" Demogoblin in the "Spider-Man Origins" toy line- I was looking forward to finally having a more realistic one, and this just isn't it. He's a small enough BAF that they could have given us 2 interchangeable heads, too.
I would have easily grabbed demogoblin and super skrull if they were separate single carded figures but having to grab whole waves for them is not my bag. I dont want most of these waves. Mainly getting doom and vulture and possibly shang chi at some point.
I definitely would have purchased this guy and the recent Super Skrull as single figures, but as BAFs in waves with mostly rehashed figures? No thanks. There are 2 figures in this wave that I wanted and zero in the F4 wave.

Yes, i believe they did a more conventional hobgoblin figure at one point too, as a solo release... that i passed on when i saw it at walmart and regretted it ever since
This is the guy I was thinking of:
Cool figure and lots of interesting characters in this wave. Im getting Shang Chi only.
Hasnt Demogoblin/ Hobgoblin been a BAF like every single time the character has gotten aFigure? Seem to recall a very artist specific version of Hobgoblin a few years back. Seems some characters are destined to be BAFs no matter how much sense it makes
He looks cool but i probably won't end up building him as i only plan to pick up Vulture, Shang-Chi and White Rabbit. Plus i don''t think i've read any of his comic appearances.
If the other 3 figs from this wave are available for cheap prices at some point, then fine maybe i'll end up getting them but in my experience spidey figures generally sell pretty well so i'm not counting on them pegwarming.
I'll echo others in saying that Demogoblin easily could've been an individual figure in the wave rather than a BAF but no big deal to me either way.
It's a very well done figure, but I just have no desire to buy all of those extra Spider-Man figures in order to complete it. I'm buying Shang Chi and White Rabbit and moving on. If I can find the completed BAF or the remaining parts on Ebay for a realistic price later, I'll pick it/them up then. Until then I'll stick with my Toy Biz version, which I would have kept regardless.
Looks awesome, still shouldn't have been a BAF.
