It's still one of the better looking bodies, I'm also tired of it, I think they should just update it with pinless tech and keep in vault for occasional figure or two.

I think someone from the Hasbro team mentioned one time that they would continue to use the Bucky Cap mold for Cyke as a way to keep his consistent.

Oh I firmly agree, and like I said, I think it looks good for the figure (if I were to improve it, I'd update it with those Sunfire butterfly joints). Also they should stick to that formula for most of the others. One other reason I really didn't like the Marvel Girl figure was that they give her different bodies, wildly different faces, each time they make her. It doesn't look like the same person.

Personally, I think the Bucky Cap mold is the best one they've ever produced. For the aesthetic and the level of poseabilityit has for a figure without butterfly joints, this mold is top notch. For fit muscular figures like Cyke and DD and Black Panther, this thing is totally appropriate. It went through a spat where it was being totally overused, but that distinction has switched to the Sunfire mold as of late. I don't want or expect this buck to be retired any time soon. If anything it might need to be recast and the detail sharpened but there's really no reason to send it out to pasture.
As far as the figure, it's pretty much what's come to be expected from Cyclops. Nothing groundbreaking. Just a well done figure on a decent buck. It's Cyclops. It is a damn shame that it took them so long to develop some decent accessories for this character and it kinda sucks that they aren't backwards compatible with previous figures but at least they're progressing. Slowly.
Sidenote: I know I'm beating a dead horse, but seeing that super short Marvel Girl next to this Cyclops is just depressing. What a blown opportunity on Hasbro's part. Epic Fail.
Seeing this having both the blast effect head and the depowered head, makes me more annoyed at the Vintage head

I love that body. It's got a nice super heroic build. The new sunfire body has really small and low shoulders that don't look as good. It also doesn't have as nice a 'V' shape in the torso as this one.
I'm such a big fan of Cyclops, I was excited at the beggining when the wave was anounced but time I see newpics it turn me down a lot, even the Bendis run Cyclops looks good againts this. Such a shame! Still excited for Moira, Magneto, Xavier, JG and Karima though!
Another figure in this wave I passed on. Again, not a bad figure, nothing really against it, I just never cared for the silver visor they're using these days over the gold. Never got my hands on the Cyclops from the Jubilee wave but from what I've heard, that has a lot of QC issues and of course, I have absolutely no intention of buying that thing at scalpers' rates. The Dave Cockrum and Jim Lee versions are what I wanted so I'm good.
