I feel like one could almost see it as a mistake for them to have gotten his Civil War/Homecoming costume so spot-on to his main classic costume, so that every subsequent attempt to change it up so that kids have to buy the new toy just feels unnecessary, questionable, and somewhat underwhelming and disappointing.

I gotta say, the more the MCU tries to "jazz up" Spider-Man's costume, the more you can see how its just necessary. Nothing replaces the original. This isn't a bad suit, it just doesn't jump out like the comic version black (symbiote) or red-gold Iron Spider does.
