Great head sculpts but I'm not a fan of the torso. I think I'll pass. I was not alive in the 70s anyway!

It's pretty cool they did this figure, and it exists, and that fact is about where it ends for me, just more Spidey variants, ugh so exhausting, I find this less interesting then the Japanese Show Spider-Man, like honestly I get Spider-Man sells, but a year or 2 ago we literally got 10 spider-men, and I'm so turned off from buying a bazillion variations of the same character, sure I'm super stoked for everyone out there who wanted and wants this, but for me this was a easy wave away pass, it's not even that cool, this never was, I wasn't a kid when this show was on, I saw re-runs but I always thought it was super dorky, anyways happy to say no to a figure.

Such an interesting figure to say we have. Seriously, while it's admittedly not one that I was dying for, it's kinda cool to say we live in a day in which we get something like this. I know there was a diehard Spider-man fan out there just yearning for this one. Very cool.

The 70s were pretty robust with superhero shows (wonderwoman, shazam, cap, electric company spidey, etc). Its just that a lot of them weren't too good because a) the fx wasn't there yet and b) they were usually made by people who didnt have anykind of reverence for them.

But i would gladly take those 70s clunky superhero attempts over the barebones 80s.

Can't believe I didn't mention Captain America, Wonder Woman, and Shazam!

We were so desperately starved for ANYTHING superhero or science-fiction in the 1970's that we'd willingly swallow any kind of drek. Some stuff was passable, and some was horrid.........and then Star Wars and Superman the Movie came along and, for a time, we were all saved..........for the future. And for the last 35-ish years, one could sau we've had a wealth of choice....

Hard to appreciate what a big deal it was watching the 1977 Spider-Man film unless you were there. I was 5 or 6, and it was just mind-blowing. We had this, the Incredible Hulk series and of course the Donner Superman, but it is crazy to think how long it took for studios to make really good Superhero films, much less a universe of films.
